Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Microsoft 365 (O365) Administrator with strong experience in M365 security, compliance, and policy management, along with office network administration capabilities. This role will manage and optimize Microsoft 365 services, enforce security and compliance controls, support identity and access management, and ensure reliable office network operations (LAN/Wi-Fi, switches, firewalls, VPN, and endpoint connectivity). The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and skilled at troubleshooting across cloud and on-prem office infrastructure.
Key Responsibilitie
Microsoft 365 Administration (Core)
- Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 tenant services, including:
- Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Office apps, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Manage user lifecycle: onboarding/offboarding, license assignment, mailbox provisioning, distribution groups, shared mailboxes, and guest access.
- Configure and monitor service health, usage, and adoption; provide recommendations for optimization.
- Handle escalated support tickets and work with Microsoft Support as needed.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, SOPs, and operational runbooks
M365 Security, Compliance & Policy Management
- Implement and manage security controls across Microsoft 365:
- Conditional Access policies, MFA, password protection, identity protection
- Device/endpoint compliance policies (Intune / MDM) as applicable
- Configure and operate Microsoft security/compliance capabilities such as:
- Microsoft Defender for Office 365 (phishing, safe links/attachments, threat policies)
- Microsoft Purview features such as DLP, retention policies/labels, eDiscovery (Standard), and audit logging
- Manage governance and access controls:
- Role-based access (RBAC), privileged access practices, and admin role review
- Information protection controls and sharing policies for SharePoint/OneDrive
- Conduct periodic security posture reviews; remediate gaps and implement best practices.
- Support compliance requirements (e.g., retention, legal hold, audit readiness) and security incident response workflows.
Office Network Administration (On-Prem / Site IT)
- Administer office network infrastructure, including:
- LAN/WAN connectivity, switching, wireless access points, firewalls, VPN, DHCP/DNS (as applicable)
- Monitor network performance and availability; troubleshoot connectivity issues affecting endpoints and M365 access.
- Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for circuit provisioning, outages, and escalations.
- Maintain and improve network security:
- VLAN segmentation, access controls, patching/firmware updates, secure Wi-Fi configurations
- Support office IT needs: printers, conferencing equipment, meeting room tech, and basic workstation connectivity issues.
Required Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365/O365 in an enterprise environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with M365 security and policy controls:
- Conditional Access, MFA, security baselines, email security policies
- DLP/retention, audit logs, compliance portal, basic eDiscovery
- Working knowledge of identity and access management:
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), SSO concepts, group management, admin roles
- Experience administering or supporting office networks:
- Switches, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPN, network troubleshooting, basic routing concepts
- Solid troubleshooting and customer support skills (ticketing systems, SLA-driven operations).
- Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

- SC-300 (Identity & Access Administrator)
- SC-400 (Information Protection & Compliance Administrator)
- SC-200 (Security Operations Analyst)
- Network+ / CCNA (or equivalent networking background)
Note: Salary and compensation are based on experience and qualifications.
