Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrols in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal assigned to a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for the public. Your presence and proactive approach will provide reassurance to those in the area while you deliver excellent customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or responding appropriately to emergencies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining composure.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to established protocols.
Interact professionally with the public, staff, and/or visitors while upholding security-related procedures.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to a variety of situations, including emergency response activities as required.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation and/or incident reports as directed by Allied Universal protocols.
Operate security-related equipment, such as radios or access control devices, as needed for patrol and response duties.

Minimum Requirements

Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by law.
Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Baton certification is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
