We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Social Media Manager and Content Producer to lead our brand’s global social program. This person will lead strategic planning, a growing social evangelism program, publishing, community engagement, content creation, and reporting across our social channels.
The ideal candidate is a strong & polished communicator, has a sharp understanding of social media trends, and can maintain brand voice while driving meaningful engagement. Technical writing ability and experience with video production/editing as well as an understanding of paid social are strong advantages.
Key Responsibilities Include
Strategic Leadership & Channel Direction
- Set the long-term vision, strategic priorities, and content pillars for the company’s social presence, including executive and technical voices.
- Architect platform specific strategies that grow influence, credibility, discoverability (search + LLM), and quality engagement across key audiences.
- Develop scalable frameworks for editorial themes, campaign integration, audience journeys, and content distribution.
- Identify cultural, industry, and platform shifts—and proactively translate them into actionable brand opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to extend programs (e.g., video, podcasts, practitioner communities) in partnership with PR and Executive Communications.
- Serve as a strategic partner to executive communications, brand, and integrated marketing teams.
Executive & Evangelist Social Strategy
- Lead strategy for growing the reach, resonance, and thought leadership impact of across social platforms.
- Develop positioning, narrative arcs, content categories, and visibility opportunities tailored to each leader.
- Collaborate with Exec Comms to ensure messaging alignment and high value moments across platforms.
- Translate executive and technical perspectives into formats optimized for social and digital distribution, in partnership with Executive Communications.
Content Leadership & Oversight
- Define the content roadmap, creative direction, and storytelling approach for multi-channel social programs.
- Complement and extend existing social programs by introducing new content formats and channels (e.g., video, interviews, and community-driven content).
- Own hands-on creation of content across new formats (e.g. lightweight video, executive interviews, and social-native formats) prioritizing speed and impact over production polish.
- Oversee content development, reviewing and refining assets created by internal teams and/or agencies.
Performance Insights, Optimization & Experimentation
- Build a performance framework that aligns social KPIs to business and brand objectives, including audience growth, discoverability, and early-stage engagement.
- Translate analytics into strategic insights that inform ongoing content optimization and audience growth.
- Lead hands-on testing of new formats, channels, and engagement approaches, including emerging community and content platforms.
- Monitor competitor landscapes and industry benchmarks to identify whitespace and opportunity.
- Measure the contribution of social programs to early-stage audience engagement and traffic generation in partnership with demand generation teams.
Cross Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with Campaign, Exec Comms, PR, Creative, Product, and Media teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across channels.
- Provide strategic guidance during campaign planning to ensure social plays an integrated, high impact role.
- Serve as the primary social media advisor to senior stakeholders and cross functional leaders.
Paid Social Strategy Support
- Help shape full-funnel paid social strategy in partnership with media teams.
- Consult on audience segmentation, creative needs, testing priorities, and success criteria.
- Ensure paid and organic programs ladder up to a cohesive channel strategy.
Core Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in social media management, communications/PR, and/or content strategy
- Strong writing and editing skills, including technical or product focused copy
- Proven experience managing multiple social platforms for a brand or organization
- Solid understanding of platform best practices, algorithms, and emerging trends
- Experience with scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Later, Sprinklr, or native platforms)
- Experience in B2B marketing (Software/SaaS preferred)
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience in social‑first video production, including short‑form formats native to Instagram/Reels, Shorts/Youtube, and other emerging platforms
- Experience supporting or executing paid social campaigns (Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc.)
- Ability to interpret social analytics and turn insights into actionable recommendations
- Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe Express, etc.)
- Comfortable working cross functionally with marketing, creative, and leadership teams

The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
