Position Overview
Support the Equity Long/Short systematic portfolio within BTG Pactual Global Asset Management by combining trading execution with quantitative and development expertise.
Responsabilities
  • Execution: Execute daily trades for the Equity Long/Short systematic portfolio.
  • Quantitative Tools: Develop and maintain statistical tools to control portfolio performance and monitor risk metrics.
  • Collaboration: Partner with middle-office, back-office, and tech support teams on daily tasks and projects.
  • Infrastructure & Data: Manage and optimize the model database and backend infrastructure, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support the end-to-end development lifecycle of proprietary trading models and tools.
Required Qualifications
  • Programming: High proficiency in Python and C#.
  • Data Management: Strong SQL skills and experience with database management.
  • Storage Architecture: Familiarity with efficient data formats, such as Parquet files.
  • Cloud: Experience deploying or managing workflows in AWS.
  • Quant Knowledge: A solid grasp of statistics and its application to portfolio management.
  • Financial Markets: Knowledge of the listed equities market.
  • Seniority: 1-3 years of work experience.
Preferred Knowledge And Experience
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Analytical Rigor: Exceptional attention to detail in high-stakes environments.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex systems under pressure.
  • Drive: Results-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and a desire to innovate within the systematic space.
