The South Carolina Judicial Branch (SCJB) is seeking a highly skilled Security Architect – Consultant to support and secure critical court systems and infrastructure.

This role focuses on network security architecture, firewall management, and secure connectivity, ensuring the protection and reliability of mission-critical judicial systems, including the Case Management System (CMS) and related platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network security architecture
• Administer and optimize Check Point security gateways
• Manage and support Cisco data center networking infrastructure
• Implement and maintain secure remote access (VPN) solutions
• Ensure high availability and performance of security systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues
• Support ongoing improvements in security posture and compliance

Mandatory Requirements

• 10+ years of experience deploying and administering Check Point Security Gateways
• 10+ years of experience with Cisco data center networking products
• 5+ years of experience with Check Point VSX (Virtual Systems Extension)
• Hands-on experience with Check Point R82
• Active or prior Check Point and/or Cisco Certifications
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in network security environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cisco Remote Access VPN solutions
• Experience with Cisco Firepower (Next-Gen Firewall / Threat Defense)
• Background working in government or judicial environments
• Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks and compliance standards
