About The Role
The Walt Disney Company's Employee Communications team is seeking a talented Sr. Specialist, Employee Communications, to join their creative team. This full-time role is pivotal in developing and executing internal communication strategies that inform, engage, and inspire Disney employees—our most valuable brand ambassadors. The successful candidate will assist in creating compelling content that elevates the employee experience and aligns with Disney’s brand standards. Additionally, the role involves working closely with stakeholders across various teams to produce visually engaging designs that support internal campaigns, events, and initiatives. As a key member of the creative team, the Sr. Specialist will contribute to storytelling efforts through innovative visual content, ensuring consistency and creativity are maintained throughout all deliverables. Reporting to the Manager of Creative Planning & Graphic Design, this position requires a proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess over five years of experience in visual design, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse design projects across digital and print mediums. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential, along with expertise in presentation design using PowerPoint and Keynote. Experience in developing presentations from conception to completion, and applying brand standards with meticulous attention to detail, is required. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to take direction, incorporate feedback, and think strategically to meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills are necessary to articulate design concepts clearly to stakeholders and leadership. A background in collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously is highly valued. Additionally, familiarity with collaboration tools such as Figma, Microsoft Teams, and Smartsheet, as well as experience with video editing, motion graphics, and data visualization, will be considered advantageous.

This includes designing presentations, infographics, event graphics, email templates, and iconography that align with corporate branding standards. The role involves developing campaign toolkits and style guides, including visual frameworks and storytelling templates, to support key internal initiatives. The candidate will serve as a creative thought partner, presenting design ideas and rationales to stakeholders, and ensuring that all deliverables meet strategic objectives. Collaborating across communication teams, they will maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and external vendors to facilitate seamless project execution. The role also requires the ability to conceptualize tailored design solutions for diverse audiences, including executives, technical teams, and general employees. Flexibility and adaptability are critical, as the professional will need to pivot and refine designs based on feedback and evolving project requirements.
