Position: Electronic Security Systems Supervisor

Position Overview:
The Electronic Security Systems Supervisor is responsible for leading, managing, and overseeing all aspects of the installation, maintenance, repair, and oversight of computer, electronic, radio, and communication equipment related to Electronic Security Systems (ESS) on the contract. This includes ensuring the optimal functionality, reliability, and security of all electronic systems critical to operations, as well as managing a team of ESS technicians.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage ESS technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of a wide range of electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and communication networks.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for computer hardware, software, radio systems, and other electronic communication equipment.
  • Direct diagnostics and repairs of ESS components, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  • Manage and maintain comprehensive inventory records of ESS equipment, spare parts, and tools, ensuring accountability and readiness for deployment or repair.
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to security personnel and other stakeholders on the proper operation and advanced troubleshooting of ESS equipment.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities, repairs, system configurations, and inventory changes are accurately and thoroughly documented.
  • Ensure all ESS installations and maintenance activities comply with relevant technical standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Lead the planning and execution of system upgrades and expansions, including cabling, network integration, and device programming.
  • Collaborate extensively with other technical teams, security operations personnel, and client representatives to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of electronic systems.
  • Stay current with advancements in ESS technology and best practices for electronic system management, maintenance, and repair, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
All candidates must:
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Be able to pass the medical and physical requirements outlined in the contract.
  • Meet all standards as required by the contract.
  • Have a clean driving record with a valid driver's license.
  • Must possess a bachelor's degree, military training certification, or similar in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, industry-specific ESS certifications) are highly desirable.
  • Must possess a minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in IT desktop support, network administration, or systems administration, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in an environment supporting electronic security systems.
  • Proven expertise in leading teams and managing complex ESS components, including advanced CCTV systems, integrated access control platforms, sophisticated intrusion detection systems, and secure communication networks.
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture, protocols (TCP/IP), fiber optics, cabling standards, and wireless communication technologies.
  • Extensive experience with advanced troubleshooting methodologies for complex electronic and computer systems.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and develop technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of security industry standards, best practices, and regulatory compliance for electronic system deployment and management in austere and high-risk environments.
  • All candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical and physical examination, drug screen, and psychological examination. Additionally, all candidates will be required to complete a paid pre-deployment training course.
Work Environment and Location:
The position is located in an austere environment. Furnished housing will be provided. Travel to and from the Work Location will be provided. Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands listed below, though not fully inclusive, are that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The employee is frequently required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
