IT Security Analyst

We are seeking an IT Security Analyst to protect critical systems and data while gaining hands-on experience in real-world security operations. This role applies core cybersecurity principles through guided, practical work and close collaboration with experienced team members to support Lancium's secure, reliable, and innovative operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and support day-to-day security monitoring by reviewing alerts, logs, and dashboards under guidance
- Assist with vulnerability scans, risk reviews, and remediation tracking
- Support implementation of security controls, procedures, and documentation
- Participate in incident response activities, including investigation support and post-incident documentation
- Help maintain asset inventories, access controls, and security records
- Contribute to compliance and audit-readiness efforts
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, and operations teams to reinforce security best practices
- Continuously develop cybersecurity knowledge through training, hands-on work, and mentorship
Required Qualifications
- A Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Foundational understanding of cybersecurity practice areas including networking, operating systems, access control, and common threat vectors
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++, JavaScript) and the ability to read and understand code
- Working knowledge of security tooling for monitoring, vulnerability management, endpoint security, identity and access management (IDP/IAM), and device management
- Entry-level cybersecurity certifications or an active pursuit of one (e.g., Security+, Network+)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accountability for work quality
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across both technical and non-technical teams
