OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT/SECTION
The Global Clients Sales Division executes FX transaction for Large European Clients. The team is split into 3 cores axes as UK, FraBeLux, and MBE. Out of the UK, Global Corporate Sales are responsible for the coverage of our UK, Irish, Swiss and Middle-Eastern franchise. The scope is to develop Foreign Exchange business across the target market. It is also to act as a primary point of contact with all target clients for any Foreign Exchange related topic.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
  • The GCFX Sales Department executes FX transaction for Large European Corporates.
As Vice President of the FX Sales desk, act as primary point of contact with corporate and institutional clients for all foreign exchange related topics
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be accountable and responsible for taking appropriate action with respect to the Company and GCSD including:
  • Work alongside the Head of UK, Ireland and Swiss Corporate Sales to develop Foreign Exchange business with Corporate Clients in UK and Ireland, Switzerland, Middle-East and other regions that may apply.
  • Act as primary point of contact for Global Corporates within your own client portfolio for all foreign exchange related topics, as well as support point of contact for all other Global Corporate Clients covered by the desk.
  • Drawing on internal and external sources to expand, promote and position Bank FX capabilities within the context of the broader client relationship, to maximize cross-sell opportunities and ensure optimal delivery of the group’s products and services in the market place.
  • Act as administrative support for the Global Customer Sales Desk
  • Operate in line with regulatory constraints and internal rules, regulations and policies
WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential:
  • Work experience in a financial institution in the area of the trading and or structuring
  • Solid experience in FX and strong relationship with Large Cap Corporate clients in the Region
Preferred:
  • Good market understanding, not just related to FX but also to the whole macro landscape
  • Strong macro economic and technical analysis skills
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Functional / Technical Competencies:
Essential
A product expertise is critical in kind of FX vanilla and derivative products (Spot, Swap, Outright Forwards, Plain Vanilla Options, Exotic Options and Structured Options)
Preferred:
  • Strong expertise in FX risk management, i.e. Fair value risk, Certain & Uncertain Cash Flow risk, High Carry exposure, Net Investment Hedge, M&A FX Risk, Dividend Hedging, Tax and Accounting FX embedded Risk
Education / Qualifications:
Essential
The role requires a combination of strong quantitative academic foundations and professional licensing
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in numerate and analytical fields, or equivalent work experience
