Who We Need

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Operations IT Intern to support Sabel’s internal technology environment and day-to-day IT operations. This internship is ideal for students interested in IT support, systems administration, cybersecurity fundamentals, and enterprise technology operations within a government contracting environment.

You’ll work closely with our IT and security teams to help ensure our systems, tools, and infrastructure remain secure, reliable, and efficient—supporting both internal users and mission-critical programs.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide support for internal IT operations, including user account management, device setup, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Assist with maintaining and monitoring laptops, desktops, peripherals, and related IT assets.
  • Support IT ticketing workflows and document common issues and resolutions.
  • Assist with system updates, patching, and basic configuration activities.
  • Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity team members to support secure computing practices.
  • Help maintain IT documentation, procedures, and inventories.
  • Gain exposure to enterprise tools, cloud environments, and security-focused IT operations.

Work Location & Schedule

  • This temporary Summer Internship is primarily remote and open to candidates located within the continental United States (CONUS), with an expected commitment of 20–40 hours per week, depending on role and department needs.
  • Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future and should be able to support standard Eastern Time Zone business hours to ensure effective collaboration across teams.
  • For candidates local to Beavercreek, OH, there may be an opportunity for a hybrid work environment with one (1) day per week onsite, where departmentally supported.
  • The internship runs approximately May/June through August/September, depending on individual school schedules.

Your Qualifications

Required

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future. This role is not eligible for Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), or other student visa-based work authorizations
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program, entering your junior or senior year, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, operating systems, and networking concepts
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Ability to manage tasks, follow procedures, and work collaboratively

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Exposure to Windows and/or macOS environments
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems, Microsoft 365, or endpoint management tools
  • Interest in cybersecurity, system administration, or cloud infrastructure

Compensation

This is a paid, temporary Summer Internship position compensated at $25 per hour. Internship participation does not guarantee future employment; however, high-performing interns may be considered for future opportunities based on business needs, performance, and available roles.
