Lead AI Engineer - AI/ML Agentic

We are seeking an experienced Lead AI Engineer to join our AI/ML team as we scale agentic capabilities. Our bespoke platform and suite of AI-enabled applications accelerate the decision-making process in real-time, all in one place.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build multi-agent systems, memory, routing, and planning.
• Develop Agent Skills and tools as modular, composable services connected to backend systems, models, and data processing pipelines.
• Contribute to automated evaluation and observability systems for agents, tools, workflows, and prompts across the entire product lifecycle.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to deploy agentic systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Neuroscience, statistics or related field.
• 5+ years building and deploying ML or LLM-powered systems in production environments.
• Hands-on experience designing autonomous multi-agent workflows that include state/action models for AI-driven interaction (agent-controlled UI, tool invocation, deterministic flows).
• Experience with agent frameworks such as Claude Agent SDK or OpenAI Agent SDK.
• Solid Python engineering skills.
• Hands-on with MCP, LLM evaluation frameworks, deep learning, transformer architecture, agent orchestration, LangGraph.
• A passion for coding agents and exploring new technologies.

Strong Candidates Have

• Proven experience designing and deploying complex agentic systems using LLMs.
• Hands-on work with multi-agent coordination, routing, and tool orchestration.
• Demonstrated portfolio or project showing LLMs interacting with frontend interfaces agentically.
• Passion for building, experimenting with, and optimizing agents.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced startup environments.
• Comfort with Claude Code SDK, and modern GenAI coding best practices.
• Frameworks LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernal.

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Pittsburgh, PA, with occasional travel (up to 10%). You’ll be joining a high-velocity team building the next generation of agentic AI systems.
