At Aer Lingus the Internal Communications Team, pride ourselves on creating visually compelling multi-media content that keeps our people informed of all the exciting developments across our business on a daily basis.
Reporting to our Internal Communications Specialist and working as an integral part of the Internal Communications team, the ideal candidate will have a passion for multi-media content creation & the technical expertise to produce high quality content such as videos, short-form video, infographics, animations & motion graphics.
The Multi-Media Content Creator must be able to think ‘campaign style', both identifying and designing campaigns using multi-media content to create highly informative & highly educational content that reach Aer Lingus employees in a targeted manner.
This role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to contribute to key projects, collaborate with a wide variety of teams across the airline to create a continuous stream of content across video & graphic design, suitable for various formats across a range of audiences.
  • Video Production: Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality videos for internal campaigns (and sometimes external campaigns), leadership messages, employee spotlights, and event recaps.
  • Motion Graphics & Animation: Design dynamic visuals and animations to simplify complex messages and enhance storytelling.
  • Creative Storytelling: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business updates, initiatives, and values into compelling visual narratives.
  • Content Strategy: Contribute to content planning and editorial calendars aligned with internal communications goals.
  • Platform Optimisation: Tailor content for internal channels, primarily the internal communication platform AerWaves, but also for newsletters, presentations, and digital signage to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Brand Alignment: Work closely with our Marketing team to ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and reflects our tone of voice, and visual identity.
  • Project Management: Assist in the management of multiple creative projects simultaneously, from concept to delivery, often under tight timelines.
Essential Competencies/skills
Your qualifications and key criteria
  • Develop a multi-media approach to creative content creation for the internal comms platform.
  • Ability to evaluate the most effective format, video, animation, motion graphics, or static visuals, for each internal story, based on audience, message complexity, and channel.
  • Strong editorial judgment in shaping stories and narratives, that align with internal communications goals and resonate with diverse employee audiences.
  • Ability to conceptualise and script videos that effectively communicate key messages and values.
  • Run video shoots: Capture video, record audio, conduct interviews & direct talent across different areas of the business.
  • Skilled in both professional video setups (e.g., CEO messages, leadership broadcasts) and agile, mobile-first and short form content creation for quick-turnaround stories and in-the-moment coverage.
  • Ability to produce snappy, engaging, and informal video content inspired by platforms like TikTok, prioritising authenticity, energy, and immediacy where appropriate.
  • Edit and post-produce video content.
  • Create motion graphics, animations and other digital storytelling formats, to enhance storytelling and convey complex ideas and messages in a visually engaging way.
  • Experience in producing high-quality video content, including video-shoot planning, filming and post-production.
  • Strong design sensibility and proficiency in visual storytelling.
  • Ability to simplify complex topics into engaging visual formats.
  • Experience in Adobe Suite, particularly Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop & Illustrator as well as graphic design software such as Canva.
  • Strong communication skills to support your ability to work with various people from across the airline as well as communicating to certain audiences.
  • A good team player and an ability to work collaboratively on projects.
  • Attention to detail is strongly desired and the ability to time manage and with that the ability to be agile in our ever-changing exciting environment.
  • Self-starter, capable of acting on own initiative and exercising good judgement.
  • Flexibility to work unusual hours on occasion and willingness/ability to travel to Aer Lingus locations in the UK, Europe and North America.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU.
  • Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
  • Provide 3 verifiable references.
  • Able to pass a 5-year security background check as this role is based in Dublin.

Desirable criteria
A third level qualification in video related / media studies or equivalent experience.
Aviation experience, good knowledge of Aer Lingus and our strategy a plus.
Experience working in internal communications a plus.
A team player who can translate business needs into engaging content that connects with employees.
