Job Description

As a Security Officer - Patrol Alarm Panel in LOS ANGELES, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and concerns, document activity, and support staff and visitors with courteous customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific policies and security-related procedures within a financial services location.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or management as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
• Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Being able to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
