Security Officer - Tech Media Patrols PT

As a Security Officer - Tech Media Patrols PT in Hampton, VA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas in a tech and media environment, deterring security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This part-time role allows for a flexible schedule and involves routine patrols and collaboration with site personnel and local authorities during incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns
• Monitor access points and observe activities within the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior
• Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as needed during incidents or emergencies
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols
• Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while on patrol or stationed at designated posts within the tech, media, or telecom environment

Skills

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
• Customer service experience
• CPR certification
• A guard card or license
• Access control or badge experience
