As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will need a deep understanding of cybersecurity methodologies and possess exceptional analytical skills. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to thrive under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.

Your Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Cyber Security Architects team to plan, propose, and implement effective security controls and platforms.
• Utilize your knowledge in Cyber Security, including Cloud deployments, application integrations, and APIs.
• Work on projects collaboratively in a team setting with defined deliverables and multiple workflows.
• Identify system security requirements to meet audit obligations and ensure compliance.
• Document standard operating procedures and protocols for projects you participate in.
• Configure and troubleshoot security devices to maintain a robust and reliable security infrastructure.
• Develop technical solutions and deploy security tools to mitigate vulnerabilities and automate tasks within a team environment.
• Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to propose long-term solutions for security issues.
• Actively engage in incident response as a representative of the Cyber Security Engineering team.
• Enable and maintain security controls to protect our organization's data and infrastructure.
• Participate in change management processes.
• Perform daily administrative tasks, including reporting and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
• Deliver thorough reports that present findings, outcomes, and recommendations for enhanced system security.
• Collaborate with fellow Engineers and Analysts in a supportive and respectful manner.

What We're Seeking

• Proficient in risk assessment tools, technologies, and methodologies.
• Experience in designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
• Knowledge of encryption for data protection as per regulatory and audit requirements.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as WAF, DAM, IPS/IDS, and SIEM.
• Team-oriented experience in creating security policies and procedures.
• Effective communication skills for discussing security issues with peers and management.
• In-depth understanding of database and operating system security.
• Experience with network security and monitoring tools.
• Thorough knowledge of contemporary security principles, techniques, and protocols.
• Ability to keep up-to-date with technology trends.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work under pressure.
• Understanding of the OSI model and common ports and services.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, or CEH are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cyber Security Engineer.

Location

United States

The US national base salary range for this position is from $104,300.00 - $193,700.00. The actual base salary will depend on the role's complexity, as well as the candidate's experience, skills, knowledge, and location.

In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
