Global Commercial Services (GCS) is committed to service and innovation and offers our Commercial Card Members a wide range of differentiated solutions.

GCS is a core operating group of American Express and has delivered increased growth over the past decade. GCS partners with small businesses and corporate clients to support them as they manage business expenses and make large purchases through proprietary payment solutions and expense management tools.
The Manager of the Corporate Early Tenure Team is responsible for inspiring and leading a team of Early Tenure Consultants that manage new Middle Market Corporate customers through their complete early tenure journey. This includes implementation of their new program and integrating that program into their business by building strong customer relationships. This is a great opportunity to lead a high-performing & dynamic team that will be responsible for the most critical moments in the customer’s tenure and sets the trajectory for their relationship ahead with American Express.
Responsibilities
- Coach and develop a group of Early Tenure Consultants to successfully on-board new Corporate customers and a premium onboarding customer experience
- Build strong relationships across key business partners, including sales, technologies, and servicing
- Provide thought leadership on strategic initiatives to increase value and growth opportunities
- Identify and implement process improvements that will enhance client experience, team productivity and results
- Lead and support end-to-end change management initiatives to support business goals
- Maintain deep knowledge of Corporate products, services and benefits
- Drive strong team engagement, collaboration and a growth focused culture
- Complete call monitoring processes to ensure high quality Client interactions
Compliance (100% of time)
- Ensure all aspects of the American Express Code of Conduct, and our Sales Practices policies, standard, and procedures, are adhered to so that we uphold the highest standards in our interactions with our customers and compliantly meet all regulatory requirements
- Support Operational Excellence team in call monitoring processes to ensure high quality and compliant customer interaction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Direct leadership experience with client facing teams
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build and leverage relationships with business partners and internal colleagues to achieve desired results
- Strong consultative Sales/Account Development skills
- Consistent track record of managing performance, coaching and motivating for success
- Experience in successfully managing teams through change
- Demonstrated ability to identify and execute process improvement opportunities that enable improved business results
- Understands at a tactical level market/industry key competitors, challenges, terminology, technology, trends, and regulation
- Client first mindset
- Proactively and consistently demonstrates the value of partnering with American Express
- Highly organized and motivated with excellent time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook with working knowledge and use of Salesforce
- Desire to have fun in a fast paced environment
Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
