Job Description

We are excited to announce that AO Teams is looking for a skilled and experienced Google Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a pivotal role that will contribute significantly to our internal build projects, focusing primarily on managing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), deployments, and ensuring system reliability. This position will report directly to our Technical Architect and will play a key role in achieving our technological ambitions.

The ideal candidate will join our office on a full-time basis and will be integral in driving our projects forward. This is not a remote job; hence, the candidate should be prepared to work within our collaborative office environment where innovation and efficiency are constantly pursued.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD processes and pipelines to enhance development and production environments.
• Oversee Kubernetes cluster management and orchestration to ensure seamless deployment and scalability of applications.
• Work collaboratively with development teams to integrate new deployment processes and strategies for existing and new software services.
• Monitor, analyze, and ensure the reliability and efficiency of infrastructure to align with the company's P&L/Forecast requirements and to enable revenue growth.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and technologies and incorporate new tools and technologies to improve pipeline efficiency and performance.
• Develop and oversee the immediate deliverables such as AO Teams CI/CD pipeline to optimize deployment practices and minimize downtime.
• Implement automated security and compliance policies through the CI/CD pipeline to safeguard application data and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the Technical Architect and other key stakeholders to achieve project milestones and deliver MVPs efficiently.
• Regularly report on infrastructure health, including performance metrics and completion rates, to align with strategic business initiatives and objectives.
• Constantly review and improve the deployment and operations processes to ensure best practices in DevOps methodologies are being followed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps engineer role, specifically within a Google Cloud environment.
• Proven experience and strong understanding of GCP, GitHub, and other relevant software and tools.
• Experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines, and a robust understanding of deployment strategies and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Prior experience working in SaaS, Venture Capital, BPO, or BPaaS environments.
• Exposure to FinTech or experience with Big 4 public accounting firms, investment banking, or managing high-scale AI/ML products.
• Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced and complex settings with a track record of managing similar scale responsibilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think analytically and strategically when faced with challenges in real-time scenarios.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Preferred qualifications include additional certifications or credentials specific to Google Cloud DevOps Engineering.
