Description
Our team builds frameworks, services, and tools that accelerate Feature development for engineering teams.nIn this role, you'll apply your quality engineering expertise to enable workflows with particular focus on ensuring the reliability and accuracy of LLM-based generation. Your meticulous approach to quality will be essential as you integrate our platform with various enterprise services and establish validation frameworks that maintain Apple's exacting standards.nYou'll be part of a team whose focus is on bringing a quality-first perspective to deliver an end-to-end solution. Your rigorous testing methodologies and quality-focused mindset will help ensure we build not just innovative tools, but dependable systems that our engineering teams can trust day after day
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field, or related experience.nProven experience in building complex agentic systems using LLMs. Strong Python programming skills, with a background in developing scalable and robust services using FastAPI or similar frameworks.nExperience in Machine Learning with a particular emphasis on Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation(RAG) and Generative AI.n5+ years of industry experience focussed on ML or software engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field, or related experience.nExperience in designing and implementing information retrieval systems using embeddings (e.g., MiniLM), vector stores (e.g., Milvus, Qdrant), or similarity match u0026 ranking techniques.nDesigned and optimized RESTful services.nComfort within Linux/Unix environments.nUnderstanding of software engineering practices (agile, code review, automated builds, regressions testing).nSome experience in technical leadership/mentorship in ML or software engineering experience a plus.nFamiliarity with large language model frameworks for evaluating and fine-tuning models.nCommunicating effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.nProven track record of building enterprise-grade ML pipelines (data prep, distributed training, optimization, monitoring) in cloud environments.nCollaborative mindset to brainstorm on architectural patterns to arrive at the best approach. Keen interest in keeping up with the latest in the industry.nExperience working on platform engineering or a developer experience platform is a plus.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.u003cbru003eu003cbru003eApple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
