Position Overview

Byers K9 Services is seeking **reliable, professional Unarmed Security Guards** for a **critical infrastructure power plant** in Bennett, CO. This position requires **dependability, strong situational awareness, and the ability to work independently** during overnight and high-responsibility shifts.

This is a **fixed-site post**, you cannot leave the site while on shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols of the power plant property
• Monitor access points, gates, and secured areas
• Observe and report suspicious activity or safety concerns
• Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation
• Enforce site rules and security procedures
• Maintain a professional presence during overnight and adverse conditions
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and emergency responders when required

Schedule & Expectations

• **Overnight shifts only**
• **Weekends, holidays, and bad weather coverage required**
• Guard works **solo** at this site
• Must be **dependable and punctual** — this is a critical facility
• **Overtime is limited and not regularly available**

Requirements

• Must be **18 years or older**
• Reliable transportation to and from the site (Bennett is non-negotiable)
• Ability to remain alert during overnight shifts
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
• Comfortable working alone in low-activity environments
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior security, military, or critical infrastructure experience
• Experience working overnight shifts
• Strong reporting and communication skills
