Summary

Part-time Asset Protection Visual Security Officer responsible for maintaining a safe retail environment through observation and deterrence of theft and suspicious activity. Role involves regular patrols, monitoring of premises, and coordination with store leadership to ensure security protocols are followed. Works primarily on-site at the Bergen County location.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual patrols of sales floor and common areas to deter theft and misconduct
• Observe customer and associate activity and report suspicious behavior to management
• Monitor entrances exits and high-risk areas for unusual activity
• Work with store leadership to implement loss prevention procedures
• Document incidents and complete accurate reports following established protocols
• Assist with safety checks and routine security tasks as scheduled
• Coordinate with local law enforcement when required

Requirements

• Previous retail security or loss prevention experience preferred
• Ability to remain observant and composed in high traffic environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
• Reliable availability to work part-time scheduled hours including weekends
