AI Intern | Summer 2026

Essential Functions & Primary Duties

• Support the design, development, and testing of AI models and automated workflows relevant to accounting and finance.
• Assist in data collection, cleansing, and analysis to help train machine learning and AI systems.
• Research and present findings on emerging AI tools, technologies, and trends with potential applications in accounting.
• Collaborate with team members on pilot projects and proofs of concept.
• Prepare documentation, presentations, and reports to communicate progress and results to internal stakeholders.
• Help troubleshoot issues and provide feedback for continuous improvement of AI-driven processes.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and team meetings to foster innovation and creative problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python or R is preferred.
• Interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, and technology-driven innovation.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently on assigned tasks.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools or accounting concepts is a plus but not required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research and project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
• Ability to multi-task, think independently and problem solve in a results driven team oriented environment
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Strong computer and technical skills including, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, intranet and audit software
