Job Summary

A Court Security Officer (CSO) provides protective services at or around United States Federal Court Houses under contract to the U.S. Marshals Service. CSOs work under limited supervision and must maintain situational awareness, making decisions consistent with post orders, facility rules, and protocols.

• Enforce entry and identification systems
• Patrol court facilities and grounds according to post orders
• Provide surveillance on incoming traffic and detect threats before reaching screening areas
• Escort judges, court personnel, jurors, and other designated individuals
