Position: Film and Video Editor

Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $60–$100/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)

• Use your professional expertise as a Film and Video Editor to design and evaluate questions related to your field.
• Contribute creative and technical insights to help improve AI models' understanding of film editing, storytelling, and visual composition.
• Analyze and assess AI-generated responses for quality, accuracy, and adherence to film editing principles.
• Collaborate asynchronously with Mercor's research teams to refine project outcomes.

Requirements

• Strong experience working full-time as a Film and Video Editor.
• Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and post-production techniques.
• Excellent written communication and ability to describe editing decisions clearly.
• Must have access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks not supported).
