Information Systems Security Officer

Job Description

Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) ensure the security of information systems under their purview. In this role, you will provide day-to-day support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.

• You will lead and maintain relationships with Prime customer managers, data stewards, and senior leadership to foster a positive cyber security profile.
• You will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of information system security program policy, with emphasis on cloud integration of SAP network infrastructures.
• You will participate in strategic planning and implementation of the Cyber Security Program.
• You will advise customers on Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessment and authorization issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments and make recommendations to customers.
• Evaluate authorization documentation and provide bodies of evidence for RMF packages.
• Maintain a formal Information Systems Security Program.
• Ensure all IAOs, network administrators, and other cyber security personnel receive necessary technical and security training.
• Develop policies and procedures for responding to security incidents.
• Evaluate threats and vulnerabilities to ascertain whether additional safeguards are needed.
