Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
- Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
- Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops.
- Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience driving the entire sales cycle (e.g., defining the delivery and consumption plan and transitioning it for execution).
- Experience in designing, building, or implementing agentic AI solutions to automate business processes.
- Experience in technical cloud ecosystems for enterprise productivity and related solutions (e.g., messaging, productivity applications, identity management, and endpoint management).
- Experience in prompt engineering and guiding customers in designing effective prompts to generate reliable outputs from AI agents.
- Knowledge of Agentic AI platforms (including Gemini Enterprise), their features, differentiation, and the integration of enterprise-wide data sources and third-party connectors.

As a Platform Customer Engineer in the growing small and medium businesses and mid-market segment, you will play a key role in understanding the needs of our customers and contributing to their digital transformation journey. You will listen and deliver what is most helpful for the customer and assist sales Googlers by problem-solving technical issues. You will liaise with Product Marketing Management and Engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Workspace and Gemini Enterprise.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $127,000-$184,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Develop and own the technical account plan and strategy, participating in planning and supporting targeted sales motions.
- Combine sales, programming, and solutions architecture expertise to prove the value of Google Cloud Platform across the portfolio through complex demos, pilots and in-depth workshops.
- Architect cross-pillar solutions, drive technical wins, and define initial delivery plans for customers and continue to lead the technical engagement in the solution phase.
- Facilitate the post-sales transition by supporting pricing activities and transitioning the final delivery plan to implementation teams.
- Maintain awareness of progress against the delivery plan, providing support to cross-functional teams during ramp, delivery, migration or implementation phases.
