Software Engineer, Backend Infrastructure, Android Messages

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, Python, Objective C, JavaScript, or Go.
• 2 years of relevant work experience in software development.

Preferred qualifications

• Good understanding of algorithms and data structures, and their time and space performance.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Design and develop features on the backend for Android Messages.
• Collaborate and work in partnership with multiple teams across Messages.
• Create and engage in a collaborative team atmosphere.
• Maintain servers and participate in oncall responsibilities.
• Develop and launch features that will be used by billions of users.
