Job Description

The Ophthalmic Photographer/Diagnostic Technician will continually demonstrate Patient Centeredness, Teamwork, and Excellence in the daily performance of their duties.

Perform advanced Ophthalmic photography and diagnostic studies.
Understand ocular pathology and proficiency in the use and maintenance of ophthalmic diagnostic equipment.
Assist physicians as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform basic maintenance, upgrades and data back up of procedures on diagnostic equipment and software as per department protocol.
Provide patient education, explains diagnostic testing and assists patient with completion of study as directed by provider.
Maintain inventory of supplies, pharmaceutical products and cleans Diagnostic testing area per department protocol.
Clean and sterilize office instruments, perform basic maintenance, quality control, cleaning, disinfection and maintaining inventory of ophthalmic exam room and ancillary equipment according to organization and departmental protocols.
Provide orientation and training of new employees and recognizes and utilizes opportunities to teach other staff members.
May travel to regional offices as needed.

This position requires self-motivation, flexibility, punctuality, detail oriented, good time management skills and excellent communication skills.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Certification as Ophthalmic Photographer or Ophthalmic assistants or technicians preferred or candidates with clinical experience will be considered.
