We are looking for self-motivated, collaborative team members who can brainstorm innovative ideas, focus on delivering MVP solutions, and adapt to an evolving product roadmap.
Responsibilities
  • Successful delivery of high quality web or mobile software (requirements, design, code, documentation, etc.)
  • Roughly 80-95% hands-on coding
  • Contribute to early quality activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs and code
  • Resolve defects/bugs during testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
  • Partner effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments
  • Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
  • Commitment to team success and positive team dynamics
  • Passion for growing and applying technical skills in service to customers
  • Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies
Qualifications
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Professional or open-source experience with a JavaScript MVC toolkit in a Single Page Architecture. Most notably React framework but also including AngularJS, Dojo, Backbone.js, Knockout or Ember.js.
  • Experience with CSS framework such as LESS, Sass.
  • Familiarity with standard javascript async patterns (closures, callbacks, promises, error handling)
  • Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application
  • Strong experience with Java/J2EE
  • An understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with consuming and creating web services (REST or GraphQL)
  • An understanding of unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • "Self-starter" attitude and ability to make decisions independently
  • Helpful, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems
  • Strong desire to learn and grow
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a history of superb delivery against assigned tasks

Preferred Experience
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and innovating large scale, consumer facing web or mobile applications
  • Experience with social, mobile, cloud/SaaS, big data, or analytics
  • Familiar with the development challenges inherent with highly scalable and available web applications
  • Always Be Learning: Experience with open source technologies (if no practical work experience w/ Big Data, or cutting edge front-end technology—you're prototyping and/or researching the up and coming technology and solutions
  • Experience with various, modern web frameworks
