Job Description
Primary Function of Position
We are looking for a Data Science Intern who will support our Global Operations teams. Minimizing supply chain risk and optimizing our manufacturing operations help surgeons and their associated institutions succeed in providing better patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in data analytics including visualization and use advanced data modeling, predictive modeling, and advanced data and AI techniques to interpret key findings from company data and translate these insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes.
Essential Job Duties
  • Work with business users to identify opportunities for data science value adds
  • Research/Model data and build comprehensive reports and dashboards that enhance business area
  • Use business data, statistical methods and/or suitable ML techniques to provide insight into business performance and suggest areas and methods of improving operations.
  • Present insights and recommendations to management for judgment making and strategic planning.
  • Work with data analysts and business users in Global Operations to enable reports that maintain long-term value.
  • Utilize cutting edge technologies such as Gen AI to provide business value
  • Develop and automate reports, iteratively build and prototype dashboards and data products to provide insights at scale, solving for data needs.
  • Be a pioneer in the data space and present your research and insights to all levels of the company
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience in either Python or R ecosystem providing data-based solutions
  • Knowledge of and experience using data-based concepts and statistical techniques; Practical knowledge of Machine Learning techniques and Big Data analysis and predictive analytics
  • Experience working with databases and creating dashboards / other data products using all relevant data to inform outcomes.
  • Excellent SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries.
  • Proven problem solving, quantitative and data abilities.
  • Statistical Skills and method familiarity
  • Inquisitiveness with a desire for continuous improvement
Required Education And Training
  • Current enrollment in a Quantitative (Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Data Science) or related degree seeking program at the Bachelor's or Master's level.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay (paid at an hourly rate), benefits, and a housing allowance. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including relevant skills and experience for this internship, degree-seeking academic program (PhD, Master's, Bachelor's, etc), year in school, and location. The hourly rate is prorated against the intern program salaries listed and total program compensation will be based on internship duration.
Base Salary Range Region 1:$41 - $57
Base Salary Range Region 2: $35 - $48
Shift: Day
Workplace Type: Set Schedule - This job will be onsite weekly, the percentage of onsite work will be defined by the leader.
