Job Title: Azure AI Engineer

Location: Mechanicsville, VA (Local candidates)

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of Azure-based AI resources and associated cloud services.
• Provide technical guidance on best practices for deploying and supporting AI workloads in Azure.
• Perform regular system patching, updates, and health checks to ensure stability, security, and performance.
• Manage backup operations, restoration testing, and disaster recovery procedures for mission-critical environments.

Cloud Migration & Operations

• Plan and execute cloud migration strategies, including transitioning workloads from on-premises environments to Azure.
• Support and troubleshoot production applications across diverse platforms (e.g., .NET, Java, SQL, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Utilize tools such as SCCM, SCOM, and Tenable for patch automation, monitoring, and vulnerability remediation.

Security & Networking

• Maintain strong security posture for cloud environments through proactive monitoring and remediation.
• Develop and refine disaster recovery (DR) plans to ensure business continuity and prevent data loss.
• Apply strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including OSI layers, routing, firewalls, and network protocols.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing and managing Azure AI resources.
• 8+ years of experience implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Azure cloud environments.
• 10+ years experience with:
• Regular patching and system updates
• Backup and recovery processes in mission-critical systems
• Cloud migration and hybrid cloud solutions
• Supporting/troubleshooting enterprise production applications
• Using SCCM & SCOM for automated patching/deployments
