Your Responsibilities

The John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) in Urbandale, IA, is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Customer AI Assistant to lead the product definition and execution of the intelligence layer, agent framework, and interface implementation powering our unified customer AI assistant across digital and in-cab experiences.

Artificial intelligence will play a defining role in differentiating our customer-facing solutions. As we evolve from early experimentation to scaled delivery, this role is critical in ensuring our AI-powered experiences operate as a coherent, unified system rather than a collection of disconnected agents. In this fast-paced space, this person will thrive under pressure by quickly sorting signal from noise relying on deep understanding of strategy to apply good judgement in on-the-spot decision making.

This Senior Product Manager will partner closely with the Principal Product Manager, Customer AI Solutions, to bring the AI vision to life—working directly with engineering teams to define behavioral standards, guide implementation decisions, and ensure consistent, high-quality assistant experiences across the John Deere ecosystem.   • Lead the product execution of the unified AI digital assistant including: intelligence layer, multi-modal customer facing interfaces, and capabilities that enable safely scaling a multi-agent GenAI tech stack.
  • Lead customer discovery and problem definition to develop feature deveopment plans and roadmaps
  • Own one or more agents that are sufaced via the digital assignment
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Data Science, and UX to define and evolve the GenAI tech stack and playbook used to build, integrate and scale AI agents across digital and in-cab experiences
  • Partner directly with engineering and UX teams to make day-to-day product decisions that shape how the assistant behaves, responds, and integrates across platforms.
  • Establish clear standards and guardrails to ensure consistency, coherence, and quality across all AI-powered customer experiences.
  • Incorporate customer feedback, usage insights, and experimentation results to continuously improve assistant behavior and performance.
  • Translate AI vision into actionable product requirements, clear documentation, and implementation guidance for engineering teams.
  • Evangelize and educate other Product Managers on AI and how to implement their data in the context of the GenAI Tech Stack.

What Skills You Need

  • 5 or more years of experience in technology Product Management, including ownership of complex, system-level or platform capabilities (not solely feature-level product work).
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-visibility, cross-functional initiatives with executive exposure, including presenting tradeoffs and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Proven track record of negotiating complex tradeoffs across engineering, product, and stakeholder groups to drive coherent outcomes in multi-team environments that lead to delivering products to market and continued optimization for customer usefulness, value, and adoption.
  • Strong prioritization skills, with experience making difficult decisions under pressure and ambiguity while balancing technical constraints, user experience, and business impact.
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering on technically complex products, engaging deeply in architectural, behavioral, and integration discussions.
  • Evidence of defining standards or reusable frameworks that improved consistency and reduced fragmentation across product surfaces or teams.
  • Expert-level communication. You will communicate effectively with a team and to stakeholders. You will be a great storyteller about your product and ready to represent your products to internal and external audiences, large and small, in person, in writing, on video, and with supporting content

What Makes You Standout

  • Experience working on AI or GenAI-powered products.
  • Strong technical fluency, with the ability to engage deeply in discussions around model behavior, system prompts, orchestration, and integration patterns without writing production code.
  • Experience shipping products across multiple interface surfaces (web, mobile, embedded, etc.).
  • Demonstrates bias toward action and ability to drive clarity in fast-moving environments.
  • Demonstrates ability of making complex concepts accessible and easy for others to understand.
  • Thrives under pressure by applying strategy, customer needs, and technology maturity in decision making and stakeholder management.
  • Experience working in agriculture or construction.

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
