Role Overview
We are seeking a Data Analytics Intern to support data analysis, reporting, and visualization efforts across the organization. In this role, you will work with structured datasets to identify trends, create dashboards and reports, and help teams make data‑driven decisions.
This internship is ideal for students interested in data analytics, business intelligence, and applied data analysis, who want hands‑on experience working with real data and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis
  • Apply statistical and analytical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights in datasets.
  • Analyze data to support business questions, operational improvements, and project needs.
  • Validate data accuracy and consistency before analysis.
Data Collection Cleaning
  • Gather data from multiple sources such as databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
  • Clean, transform, and prepare data to ensure it is ready for analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with maintaining structured datasets for ongoing use.
Reporting Visualization
  • Create dashboards, charts, and reports using tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or Excel.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, visual insights that are easy for stakeholders to understand.
  • Update and maintain recurring reports as needed.
Collaboration
  • Work closely with data teams and other departments to understand data needs and reporting requirements.
  • Support cross‑functional projects by providing accurate data and analysis.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to team members.
Documentation
  • Document data sources, processes, methodologies, and assumptions used in analysis.
  • Help maintain clear and organized documentation to support transparency and repeatability.
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
Required Skills
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of data analysis concepts.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets (Excel) for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI.
  • Ability to work with structured data from databases or flat files.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly.
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills
  • Exposure to SQL or database querying.
  • Prior coursework or projects involving data analytics or business intelligence.
  • Experience creating dashboards or automated reports.

The salary range budgeted for this position is $30 - $34 per hour and is based on years of educational experience.
