This early-career role supports development and maintenance of data-driven applications and system health monitoring solutions that enable safe, efficient operations across various Defense platforms. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams to implement features, integrate APIs, and help ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to design, development, testing, and maintenance of web applications and internal tools that support analytics and system health monitoring.
- Implement front-end features using JavaScript and Vue.js; collaborate with UX and product stakeholders to deliver usable interfaces.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs; support integration between back-end services and front-end applications.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and work with Oracle databases to retrieve, transform, and load data for analytics and reporting.
- Assist with troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis for application and data issues.
- Participate in code reviews, follow software development lifecycle practices, and maintain documentation.
- Support QA and testing efforts; contribute automated and manual test cases as needed.
Skills And Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field - or equivalent practical experience.
- Practical experience with Oracle databases and writing SQL queries.
- Hands-on experience with any Object Oriented programming language (C#, Java, Vue.JS, Python, etc).
- Experience working with and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively on a team. -Experience with software QA and testing (unit tests, integration tests, test automation) is a plus.
- Familiarity with data analytics concepts, ETL processes, or BI/reporting tools.
- Basic knowledge of back-end technologies, source control (git), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native services for analytics, data storage, or system monitoring.
- Experience with AI or machine learning technologies (modeling, integrating ML APIs, or using ML toolkits).
- Effective communication skills and experience working in an Agile development environment.
