Opportunity/Job Purpose

M+S is looking for a dedicated Junior Sales Engineer that will play a critical role in ensuring seamless interaction between Maxwell and Spark’s customers, sales team, and internal departments. The role supports the full order cycle—from enquiry and quotation to fulfilment and post-sales follow-up—while also contributing to data-driven insight and process improvement.

This position is well suited to someone with a strong technical aptitude, a passion for clean technology, and a proactive, service-oriented approach.

Duties & Responsibilities

Role and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Act as a point of contact for customers, providing information, updates, and support throughout the order lifecycle.
Manage incoming enquiries and assist in preparing quotations and proposals in collaboration with the technical sales team.
Collect and record customer feedback to inform continuous improvement in products and service delivery.
Process and validate customer orders accurately and efficiently through the company’s CRM and ERP systems.
Liaise with engineering, logistics, finance, and production teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and delivery.
Track order status and proactively communicate updates or issues to customers and internal stakeholders.
Compile and maintain accurate sales and customer data for reporting and performance tracking.
Support analysis of order trends, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction metrics.
Provide regular dashboards and ad-hoc reports to management to inform planning and strategy.
Develop a foundational understanding of Maxwell and Spark’s product portfolio and system architecture.
Assist in configuring technical documentation and product specifications for proposals.
Support demonstrations, training, and commissioning activities when required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements

National Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
2-3 years’ experience in an engineering, technical sales support, customer service, or order administration role within a manufacturing, engineering, or technology environment.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and experience with CRM and ERP systems (e.g., HubSpot, NetSuite, or similar).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer focus and attention to detail.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify improvement opportunities.
