[Remote] Assistant Manager, Social Media

They are seeking an Assistant Manager, Social Media to support day-to-day social media operations, including content planning, community engagement, and project management for multiple accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Content Planning: Plan and manage social content calendar, developing platform-native content (Reels, TikTok, IG story templates), brief designer and creators as needed
  • Film/edit content as needed
  • Content ideation: Source on-brand, trending content ideas
  • Create on-brand briefs & captions that follow TOV, and align with content direction
  • Coordinate and update client/team feedback and approvals
  • Help ensure all deliverables are executed according to schedule
  • Support monthly social media recaps
  • Support content scheduling and publishing across platforms (IG,TT,FB,LI)
  • Stay up to date on social media trends, platform updates, and algorithm changes, monitor competition, and benchmark content inspiration/trends
  • Maintain and update projects within Monday.com or other project management tools
  • Track timelines, deliverables, and approvals for client work
  • Support internal team workflows and ensure tasks stay organized and on schedule
  • Assist with documenting processes and keeping client materials organized
  • Monitor and respond to comments and messages across client social channels
  • Engage proactively with communities through thoughtful interactions
  • Flag important conversations, customer concerns, or opportunities to the team
  • Use community insights to inform social strategy
  • Assist in preparing client meeting agendas and notes
  • Help track action items from client meetings
  • Support reporting preparation and documentation when needed
  • Assist with sourcing creators and influencers
  • Prepare creator briefs and track campaign deliverables
  • End-to-end partnership communication
  • Ensure all partnerships stay within budget

Skills

  • 2–3 years of experience in social media management
  • Comfortable working in a remote, collaborative environment
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Familiarity with social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Up-to-date on social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content formats
  • Experience using project management tools (Monday.com, Asana, Notion etc.)
  • Experience with social media scheduling or analytics tools (Sprout Social, Dash Hudson, Sprinklr)
  • Excellent written communication and caption writing skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple clients and timelines
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to think strategically and adapt quickly
  • Experience working in an agency or with multiple large client accounts
  • Basic design skills using Canva or Adobe tools
  • Familiarity with influencer/creator marketing
  • Experience working with beauty brands
  • Proficient in shooting and editing short-form video using mobile tools and CapCut, and Canva, and social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok
  • Bonus: Comfortable both behind the camera and on camera
