About Muir AI

Muir AI is building the Product Intelligence Platform – empowering companies to understand how their products are made, what they cost, and how they impact the environment. By combining AI with deep supply chain data, we give teams instant visibility into product cost drivers and carbon footprint, enabling faster, smarter decisions.

The Role

We’re looking for an AI Engineer to help develop the core models that power the Muir platform. You’ll work across the full lifecycle of applied ML—researching, prototyping, and productionizing models that drive real-world product and supply chain intelligence. As part of a small, high-impact team, you’ll have broad ownership and the opportunity to shape both our modeling architecture and future roadmap.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and build AI pipelines - including data prep, model orchestration, and inference services - for cost modeling, carbon estimation, and supply-chain analysis
  • Explore, prototype, and validate new techniques to boost accuracy, coverage, and speed
  • Deploy and monitor models and services in production, ensuring reliability and performance at scale
  • Partner with product, sales, and customer teams to turn real-world use cases into AI solutions
  • Contribute to a growing stack that blends classical algorithms, LLMs, and domain-specific logic

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • 3+ years of experience building and operating AI systems (LLMs, knowledge graphs, or other advanced techniques)
  • Strong Python skills; comfortable wiring together services, APIs, and orchestration frameworks
  • Experience across the AI lifecycle, from data ingestion to continuous delivery and monitoring
  • Ability to thrive amid ambiguity and take ownership in an early-stage environment
  • Excellent cross-function communication
  • Seattle-based or willing to relocate
  • Bonus: background in manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, or sustainability domains
  • Bonus: Startup or small team experience where you’ve worn multiple hats

Why Join Us

  • Make an Impact: You will be given direct ownership and the ability to drive impact with our customers.
  • Collaborative culture: Be part of a supportive and inclusive team that values collaboration, creativity and open communication.
