Job Description
Are you passionate about social media and eager to kickstart your career in digital marketing? Ogilvy is seeking a highly motivated and organized Virtual Assistant to join our dynamic team, focusing on social media management. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of digital content and community engagement. You will support our social media strategists and content creators, helping to maintain our clients’ online presence and foster vibrant communities. While previous experience is a plus, we are enthusiastic about training promising beginners who demonstrate a strong desire to learn and contribute.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in scheduling and publishing social media content across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, etc.)
- Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and messages, escalating key issues to the relevant team members
- Engage with online communities, responding to comments and inquiries in a timely and professional manner under guidance
- Conduct basic research on trending topics, competitor activities, and new social media features
- Support in the creation of simple social media reports, compiling data on engagement, reach, and other metrics
- Organize and maintain digital assets, including images, videos, and content calendars
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and campaign objectives
- Perform administrative tasks as needed to support social media operations
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new tools and strategies
- Basic understanding of digital communication etiquette
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social)
- Experience with basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express)
- Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting
- Ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus
