Optomi, in partnership with a global telecommunications and technology company is seeking a skilled Network Support Technician for their Brunswick, GA location! This position requires a dependable, hands-on IT professional capable of providing Tier 2 technical support in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. As a key member of the IT Field Operations team, this role focuses on maintaining day-to-day technology operations for government personnel, contractors, and training facilities by delivering prompt, effective resolution of user IT issues. This role will troubleshoot Windows and Office 365 issues, handle laptop break/fix and deployments, support training classrooms, manage network printers, and work ServiceNow tickets alongside a strong technical team.

Experience of the right candidate

  • 1–4 years of IT support experience, preferably Tier 2 desktop or field support
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows OS troubleshooting
  • Practical experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 in an enterprise environment
  • Experience working with network printers and user workstation deployments
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
  • Exposure to basic scripting (batch files and entry-level Python)
  • Proven ability to work effectively in high-stress, high-volume environments
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with non-technical users
  • U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for Public Trust clearance
  • Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record

Responsibilities of the right candidate

  • Provide onsite Tier 2 IT support for Windows laptops and desktops
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Office 365 issues (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Office applications)
  • Perform break/fix, re-imaging, and re-baselining of laptops for end users and training classrooms
  • Set up, configure, and troubleshoot network printers
  • Respond to, prioritize, and document ServiceNow tickets according to SLA requirements
  • Support classroom and training environments with frequent user turnover
  • Run and make minor edits to batch files and perform light Python script adjustments when needed
  • Assist with mobile devices, video conferencing setups, and basic LAN-connected equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation, inventory records, and activity reports
