📝 Rquirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in IT support, ideally in help desk, field tech, or desktop support roles.
  • Previous experience in supporting POS systems or comparable restaurant/retail technology.
  • Fundamental knowledge of network principles (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPN).
  • Practical experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and remote support tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capacity to stay calm and professional during urgent situations (such as POS outages during busy hours).
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to restaurant locations as necessary.
  • Capability to lift and carry IT hardware (up to approximately 40 lbs).

👩‍💻👨‍💻 Your responsibilities are

  • Provide Tier I–II help desk and on-site assistance for both restaurant and corporate users.
  • Support and resolve issues related to restaurant POS systems, kitchen display systems (KDS), payment terminals, handheld ordering devices, and printers.
  • Address connectivity problems involving store networks, VPN, Wi-Fi, switches, and internet disruptions, escalating to vendors or ISPs when appropriate.
  • Assist with new store openings, technology upgrades, and hardware deployments (POS, switches, APs, workstations, cabling coordination).
  • Monitor and manage help desk tickets, ensuring precise documentation and prompt resolution.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and peripheral issues across multiple restaurant locations at once.
  • Maintain and configure Windows computers, workstations, Microsoft 365 accounts, and Active Directory user access.
  • Provide support for VoIP phones, security camera systems, and back-office PC or server equipment as necessary.
  • Track and oversee IT inventory, warranties, RMA processes, and technology assets at the store level.
  • Adhere to cybersecurity practices, including MFA, endpoint protection, and secure access controls.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors (POS, ISP, cabling, security, and hardware providers) for escalations or service scheduling.
  • Participate in a rotational on-call support system for after-hours incidents affecting store operations.
