We are seeking an Associate Proofreader based out of the Paramount Pictures Lot in Hollywood, CA. This position is a (5) day on-site role. The Associate Proofreader is responsible for handling all marketing efforts as assigned by the Manager Worldwide Marketing Services. This primarily includes proofreading all print/digital/static online materials for Worldwide Theatrical and Home Media.
The Associate Proofreader will be responsible for reviewing and catching inconsistencies across various digital and printed materials. The scope of work will include reviewing, proofreading, and correcting high volumes of work on short deadlines. The Associate Proofreader must be a maverick at noticing errors in spelling and grammar as they will be making clear and concise corrections according to the context of the material.

Hiring Salary Range: $55,000.00 - 65,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Proofs worldwide print, digital, and online marketing material and flags any guild/MPA, contractual, legal or clearance incompliances
- Checks final mechanicals to make sure any necessary adjustments are actioned such as Credits, MPA, feature clearance/legal etc and route to SVP Marketing Services for signoff
- Review Exhibitor Services print and digital static materials, including re-issues
- Assists Print Manager in reviewing and proofing academy ads (i.e. newspaper ads, trade pub ads, screeners, etc.) as needed.
- Checks proof against copy, marking errors that appear in proof and check corrections
- Proofreads, reviews, and edits materials for accurate use of grammar and content
- Corrects any grammatical, typographical, or compositional errors in original copy
- May measure dimensions, spacing, and positioning of page elements to verify conformance to specifications, using printer's ruler
- Assists Print Manager in training and development of XYi proofreaders as needed
- Assists in proofing Home Media materials
- 1-2+ years' relevant experience
- Bachelors degree preferred, but not required
- Academy Materials, Banners, Bus Sides, Bus Wraps, Digital Key Art, Mall Media, Publicity, Studio Boards, Websites & More
