Peak Partners has a regional healthcare payer client seeking to hire a Cyber Security Systems Analyst who can help administer, program, maintain, implement, and support various departmental and enterprise-wide platforms with optimal security solutions in mind.

The position is a remote work environment, but candidates must live in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, or Florida.

Principal Responsibilities

• Configure security tools including virus software, IPS/IDS, password protectors, and vulnerability management software.
• Monitor systems and evaluate identified needs and use applicable tools to protect information.
• Report on the activities and vulnerabilities.
• Maintain the disaster recovery posture of the department and interact with corporate and enterprise Disaster Recovery and business continuity efforts.
• Evaluate Weaknesses and test all company networks to detect bad actors or external threats.
• Experience with monitoring and working within Cloud environments, (Azure or AWS) and experience using associated cloud tools such as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel and IAM screening tools.

Skills & Experience

• B.S in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
• Strong current knowledge of IT Security Monitoring and Logging systems such as Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Security and forensic tools such as sys internals and Encase.
