The Information Security Analyst is responsible for safeguarding the organization's information assets by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats and vulnerabilities. This role ensures compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements while supporting risk management initiatives. The analyst works closely with IT and business units to implement security controls, investigate incidents, and maintain a secure environment that protects data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

- Compensation: This is a salaried position; candidates with significant related experience may be higher. Pay may also depends on candidates location
- WI range: $86,700- $99,700
- MN range: $98,900- $113,700

- Associate degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, or the equivalent in experience
- Three years of experience in information security or information technology
- Strong understanding of core information security principles, including confidentiality, integrity, and availability, with working knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to financial institutions such as GLBA, PCI DSS, and FFIEC guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze security alerts, logs, and reports using SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners, and other security technologies to identify threats, anomalies, and risks in a timely and effective manner.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001, and the ability to apply these frameworks when assessing, implementing, and improving security controls across systems and processes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical security concepts, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences while collaborating across teams.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, enabling the ability to prioritize work, adapt to changing technologies and regulatory requirements, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, or the equivalent in experience
- One or more comparable certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC), or similar certification
- Payment Card Industry (PCI) knowledge and PCI Professional (PCIP) certification
- Full-Time salaried position; Hours will generally be Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm with occasional evening and weekend hours, as needed.
- This position is part of Royal's workplace flexibility program and has the ability to be hybrid after approximately 4-6 months of training and proficiency in the position.
- When not working remote, the office location is flexible at either the Corporate Office in Eau Claire, WI, or at a Royal Minnesota office based on office availability and candidate preference.
- This position requires residency within Royal’s office footprint
- Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging.
- Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal’s culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.
