About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Video Editor to join our creative team in San Mateo, CA, operating within a hybrid work model. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the editing process on high-profile projects, including global marketing campaigns and franchise launches. You will serve as a creative leader, leveraging your editorial expertise, storytelling ability, and technical skills to craft compelling visual narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will excel under pressure, demonstrate exceptional collaboration skills, and possess a keen eye for detail. As a Senior Video Editor at PlayStation, you will contribute to shaping the visual identity of our brand, ensuring consistency and excellence across all deliverables while innovating workflows and utilizing advanced editing tools, including AI-assisted technologies.
Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in video editing or post-production, preferably within AAA game or entertainment campaigns.
• Proven ability to manage multiple critical projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Advanced proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of post-production workflows, color grading, sound design, and motion graphics integration.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with creative, technical, and production teams.
• Demonstrated reliability and high-quality output under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
• Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  

Responsibilities

• Lead the editorial process for multiple high-stakes projects, ensuring delivery of polished, emotionally engaging stories that align with brand voice and campaign goals.
• Collaborate closely with Producers, Creative Leads, Motion Designers, Game Capture, and Studio Marketing teams to maintain consistency across all creative assets.
• Shape narrative structure and tone, working from detailed briefs or minimal creative guidance, while maintaining composure under pressure.
• Apply storytelling instincts to craft edits that captivate diverse audiences and reflect PlayStation's brand identity.
• Integrate motion graphics, sound design, and color correction to uphold PlayStation's visual and auditory standards of excellence.
• Proactively identify potential risks, troubleshoot challenges, and implement solutions to meet project deadlines.
• Adhere to established post-production workflows, promote workflow innovations, and utilize tools such as AI-assisted editing and automation to improve efficiency.
• Maintain organized timelines and structured edit files for scalability, quick revisions, and localization processes.
