Software Engineer

We are looking for a full-stack software engineer to join our systematic commodities trading team. This team is responsible for researching and trading systematic strategies across commodity futures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, design, and build scalable, distributed infrastructure platforms across the cloud that enable researchers to operate workloads efficiently (including statistical learning and deep learning).
- Maintain and improve the technology stack, from data acquisition to database storage, analysis, research, and front-end services.
- Lead incident response efforts, conducting thorough post-mortems and implementing preventive measures to improve system resilience.
- Define and promote platform engineering best practices, architectural patterns, and technology standards through documentation and hands-on support.
- Lead cross-functional platform initiatives from conception to delivery, coordinating with traders, researchers, and core technology teams to define requirements, establish timelines, and ensure successful adoption of new platform capabilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2-5 years of experience in software engineering preferred
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of Linux operating system and network fundamentals. Good understanding of system performance
- Experience with managing an AWS infrastructure
- Experience of working on a distributed system
- Experience with Python. Pandas and Pytorch experience is a strong plus.
- Experience with designing databases (SQL, query optimization and benchmarking)
- Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Dash…)
- Experience with time-series databases, C++, and deep-learning systems development is a plus.
Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 a year
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed on this job posting, determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
