We are looking to find a highly qualified leader to serve as the Department's Management Analyst. This person will provide key leadership and oversight for the statewide IEP/IFSP system known as ACHIEVE.
Your Responsibilities
Provide oversight and management of General Supervision system use, including system testing, band width, user roles and their assignment, communications with users when there are system outages, manage tickets submitted by users that have escalated to bug fixes or system malfunctions. Gather information from users and stakeholder task teams regarding implementation functions of the system. Provide support for general supervision tools in ACHIEVE.
Collects and queries structured data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, surveys, external applications, and other data repositories. Compile annual district-level IDEA DA ISR and DRP data to upload to ACHIEVE.
Cleans and prepares data; identifies and resolves missing values, removes duplicates and/or outliers, and formats raw data to maintain the overall quality of data and ensure accuracy and suitability for analysis.
Conducts descriptive analysis to summarize data using simple statistical techniques.
Creates standard reports and visualizations (e.g., charts and graphs) to present findings.
Other duties as assigned by the Bureau Chief related to state and federal collections and reporting.

Hours: 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M., Monday – Friday; some nights and weekends, occasional in-state and out-of-state travel

Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in business analytics, economics, data science, statistics, mathematics, management information systems, or industrial management.
  • All of the following (a and b):
  • A total of four years of education and/or full-time experience in business/data/statistical analytics, economic research, or data science, where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience.
  • Possession of a professional certificate in data science, business analytics, or data analytics. Please attach a copy of the certification to your NeoGov application.
  • All of the following (a and b):
  • A total of four years of education and/or full-time experience in business/data/statistical analytics, economic research, or data science, where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience; and
  • A total of one year of graduate-level education and/or full-time experience (as described in part a), where twenty-four semester hours of accredited graduate college or university coursework in business analytics, economics, data science, statistics, mathematics, management information systems, or industrial management equals one year of full-time experience. - Applicants must attach an unofficial transcript for verification.
