Cyber Security Analyst

Must be a US Citizen with a Secret or higher security clearance.
This role will be performed onsite in Huntsville, AL.
This role will focus on building and maintaining secure systems to support the customers of Summit TRC. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical base who can identify the problem and build a hardened solution.
Responsibilities

• Protect systems and data by applying security controls, configuring Linux/Windows systems and networks, and hardening environments - automating tasks when possible
• Conduct in depth technical scans on hardware, operating systems, and software to identify system vulnerabilities
• Perform necessary system configuration tasks to mitigate vulnerabilities
• Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting tasks to create a more secure and hardened ecosystem for software and systems
• Perform vulnerability assessments and compliance checks using tools like STIGs, ACAS, NESSUS, and the NIST RMF to ensure systems are compliant and pass security measures
• Provide security assessments and post analysis to stakeholders and maintain clear technical documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve cybersecurity objectives
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in a relevant field
• Strong foundation in Linux based Operating Systems
• Experience with basic scripting tools like Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Familiarity with SCAPs, STIGs, ACAS, Nessus, etc.
• Knowledge of Networking tools like Cisco products
• Experience with Virtualization tools like VMware, VirtualBox, or various hypervisors

Salary: $70000 - $110000 per year
