[Remote] ESS Application Engineering Internship

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. is a global leading PV inverter and ESS provider. They are seeking an Application Engineering Intern to support technical documentation, analyze market information, and assist in engineering processes while gaining experience in the energy storage industry.

Responsibilities

• Edit and refine customer-faced technical documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards
• Gather and analyze market information, delivering insightful analysis to support business decisions
• Develop application tools to facilitate engineering daily support
• Assist in understanding and applying industry certifications and standards to project and processes
• Support technical documentation matrix during project support
• Utilize data analysis skills to interpret technical and market data effectively
• Develop a professional understanding of electrical engineering or systems engineering principles
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow as an expert in the energy storage industry

Skills

• GPA of 3.0 or above
• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
• Exhibit a passion for renewable energy and a commitment to sustainable technology solutions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Visio
• Comfortable interpreting technical documents and schematics, including structure drawings, SLDs etc
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to quickly learn new tools and software
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for editing and generating technical documents
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Self-starter, strong initiatives and an excellent communicator
• System and product level mindset
• Currently pursuing a Master's (or Doctorate) degree from a top 50 engineering college in the U.S. or Canada
• Basic coding skills; knowledge of Visual Basic, Python and MATLAB preferred
• Speaking Chinese is a plus
• Experience in renewable energy, energy storage, battery cells, or solar energy is a plus
