Oracle / SQL DBA

Description

The NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)is seeking a short term (estimated at 4-6 months) contractor for the database team at DENR ITS division to work on the data administration to support development and implementation of the Enterprise wide DSS application. Pre-defined data from various databases deployed across DENR is fed into the DSS Oracle database. Contractor support is needed to develop and implement database verification and validation strategies to ensure the DSS database integrity, as well as provide database support for DSS related activities to meet critical business needs across DENR.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements.

Required

• Strong data modeling skills.
• Solid hands-on SQL and PL/SQL development experience.
• Significant data/database migration experience.

Preferred

• Extensive DBA experience administering various database systems is required, replication and standby.
• Experiences with geodatabase, Oracle APEX, BusinessObjects Reporting platform.
