The Vice President, AI for Business Transformation, is a forward- thinking, digitally-savvy leader responsible for driving the adoption and integration of advanced artificial intelligence capabilities across Trane Technologies. This executive will possess an overview of predictive AI, generative AI, and agentic AI, and leverage these technologies to identify and execute innovative programs that deliver measurable business value. The VP will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to design, deliver, and scale AI programs that enhance productivity, generate significant cost savings, and elevate customer experience. This position requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and a demonstrated ability to bridge cutting edge technology with practical business outcomes. This role reports to the Chief Digital Officer; and will interface with multiple ELT members and senior executives across the company.

Where is the work

On-site (5 days) – Davidson, NC

What you will do

  • Lead Through Influence: Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (ISC, Regions/Strategic Business Units, IT, Finance, Legal, HR etc.) to conceptualize, implement, and execute AI initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in measurable productivity, cost efficiency, cash flow and customer experience.
  • Strategic Relationships: Build and maintain strategic relationships with external vendors, partners, and AI firms to leverage the full spectrum of AI advancements for Trane Technologies.
  • Program Leadership: Oversee and coordinate multiple project teams, each dedicated to the successful delivery of specific strategic AI programs focused on tangible business benefits. Manage external firms to deliver on time and on budget.
  • M&V: Lead the measurement and verification (M&V) process to accurately assess and quantify the financial impact of key, strategic AI projects.
  • Thought Leadership: Over time, this individual will grow into an AI thought leader for Trane Technologies, demonstrating in-depth expertise in predictive AI, generative AI, and agentic AI technologies.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology.
  • Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or finance preferred.
  • Proven track record of leading successful transformation initiatives in a complex, global organization.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage, inspire, and develop multiple project teams simultaneously. Strong executive presence.
  • Experience in implementing processes to quantify financial impact and business value of strategic technology programs.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, ethical, and security considerations in the deployment of AI solutions within a corporate environment.
