Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range for this position is nationwide and reflects a variety of salaries across the country. Actual salary will depend on factors like the role's scope, candidate's skills, education, and experience. This position also allows eligibility for performance-based cash incentives.

What Is the Opportunity?
Travelers is looking for a network-focused security professional with a passion for protecting a Fortune 500 company through effective security measures. You will support our firewall management, intrusion prevention systems, and internet filtering technologies. Additionally, you'll assist in implementing a cloud-based web application firewall. This role involves contributing to innovative network security models that embrace cloud-native solutions and zero trust architectures. Your creativity and vision will help enhance our cybersecurity processes through automation and integrations. You will investigate and resolve cybersecurity incidents promptly and effectively.
As part of our Cybersecurity Engineering team, you will help manage critical platforms that ensure robust cybersecurity practices throughout the organization. You will work closely with Cybersecurity Operations to troubleshoot issues and recommend enhancements.
What Will You Do?
Engage in well-defined projects focused on analyzing and resolving cybersecurity platform issues.
Support and manage security controls across various tools and processes.
Independently monitor, alert, and troubleshoot incidents related to cybersecurity platforms.
Collaborate with business teams on software education and performance testing.
Work on enhancement requests from business leadership.
Develop coding and automation for typical tasks.
Maintain and update security policies and protocols.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
A degree or certificate in Cybersecurity.
A minimum of 3 years in Information Technology Security Engineering or Software Engineering.
Programming experience is desirable.
Practical experience with cloud computing and automation.
Familiarity with system, network, and OS hardening techniques.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, cyber threats, and security policies.
Ability to apply cybersecurity principles to meet organizational requirements.
Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
What is a Must Have?
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years in Information Technology Security Engineering or Software Engineering.
